US 'Hillbilly' coal worker says it like it is

Here's a smart kid from the sticks:

Nic Smith, a self-described "white trash hillbilly from the holler" has a few choice words for The Young Turks and other "left wing media" outlets in regard to assumptions about people from the South and from Coal Country. Did he believe Donald Trump when he promised to bring all the coal jobs back? What does he think about popular narratives on the right, blaming immigrants for global economic conditions, or cutting back on immigration to protect the white majority? Nic Smith is a Virginia Raise Up "Fight for 15" activist who, in a previous TYT Politics report, thrilled the TYT audience with keen observations and enlightening insights about 21st century struggles for working class Americans.

"Fight for 15" is the only thing i can see on a mass level doing anything beyond the identity shit and the correct moaning about it.
Yep.

The Fight for $15 started with just a few hundred fast food workers in New York City, striking for $15 an hour and union rights.

Today, we’re an international movement in over 300 cities on six continents of fast-food workers, home health aides, child care teachers, airport workers, adjunct professors, retail employees – and underpaid workers everywhere.

For too long, McDonald’s and low-wage employers have made billions of dollars in profit and pushed off costs onto taxpayers, while leaving people like us – the people who do the real work – to struggle to survive.

That’s why we strike.

We can’t feed our families, pay our bills or even keep a roof over our heads on minimum wage pay.

When we first took the streets, the skeptics called us dreamers – said a $15 wage was “unwinnable.”

We didn’t listen.

We won $15 an hour across New York State and California.

We won $15 in Seattle, and huge raises in cities from Portland to Chicago.

We won $15 for Pennsylvania nursing home workers and all hospital employees at UPMC – Pennsylvania’s largest private employer.

And we won’t stop fighting until we turn every McJob into a REAL job.

That’s the #FightFor15.

Just for clarity's sake he's not even a coal worker, as it says in the title . As he points out the mining communities been decimated . He can't even get work down the mines and serves fast food instead for a pittance . Mines that Clinton infamously boasted shed close while addressing some Lbgtq identity politics conference .

CR in full of diversionary shit shokka.

What the fuck are you on about you clown ?
I pointed out that even getting a job down the mines would be considered a luxury these days . Whooshed over your pointy little head .

Eta

I also posted a video of this same guy on the trump thread weeks ago angrily tearing into a feminist Clinton supporter while she was doing the usual identity shtick . Emphasising the point I made above .

I am on about the predictable dig at Clinton (who for the record I am not a fan of) whilst the guy is talking about capital, Trump and issues raised by him such as immigration. Also the veiled homophobic slur as in 'she must be bad , she speaks at Lbgtq identity politics conferences'. So let's just leave it at that shall we? :)

You're a clown . Clinton is capital. The personification of the problem . Her identity politics is her diversion from the economic and social issues affecting these people . Whilst Trumps identity politics is just the other side of the same coin . Clinton proudly boasting to an identity politics focused conference that she'd close the mines is the most classic example I can think of of a total disconnect between these middle class , arty farty, trendy liberals and workers struggling for basic survival .

Eta

A video here of the reception she got from coal workers families on a campaign stop . Can't believe she was maniacally waving and smiling at these people on the street . Total fucking disconnect .

Is it possible for you to actually overcome your Hillary fixation for more than a single post?

Here's someone busting all the stereotypes of the thick redneck Trump-voting...oh, I get it. Of course you want to move the discussion on beyond him.

Is it possible for you and that other clown to stop wincing and shreiking every time somebody says something nasty about Clinton . And perhaps to stop claiming the people in his social and economic bracket who voted for trump instead of her are typically thick rednecks . Not voting for the candidate that says she's going to close down the only industry in your locality isn't remotely thick by any means . And the very fact such people have been classically stereotyped as thick rednecks is the fault of elitist liberal Clinton supporters to begin with . That's who was doing the stereotyping . So successfully that your actually surprised to see one who's socially and economically aware .
Trump was elected , partially by these people, as a backlash against everything Clinton represented and personified . that's pretty fucking relevant to the subject at hand . The complete lack of a viable alternative to neo liberalism .

You've fucking lost it, pal. You roar around these boards screaming - yes, screaming - about Hillary fucking Clinton pretty much every time you put whatever passes for a digit to your keyboard, and yet the moment anyone so much as hints you might just have things a little out of proportion, you take it up a level and start twitching and spasming about how they're all clowns, and projecting your own histrionic behaviours onto them.

It is conceivable you may even have a point, some of the time, but it's so fucking tiring picking through your hysterical rants and "if you're not for us, you're agin us" knobbery, to see if there's a nugget of truth in the tsunami of bullshit you spew every time that it's just not worth the fucking bother.

I don't know quite what you hope to prove by your contributions, but I suspect it's lost on most people who get to the first bit of ranting and, like me, give up in despair/disgust.

It doesn't, it states he is from a coal mining area, and in this area there are few 'deep mines' it's mainly opencast/ strip mining, a practice that is environmentally devastating and produces very few 'jobs'
Your last paragraph was incomprehensible so I haven't tried to answer it.

Aye , he does it every time, he starts to make a decent and reasonable point and then flies of into a rant, I blame his mum-;)

Good man. Scary that they would ask as a serious question what he thinks of the idea that Scandinavia does so well because everyone's white. He put that one down very nicely, but wtf?

at first I thought they were baiting for racism or even unreflective retort but on re-watch I think he was asked on purpose in order to elicit just such a rational response. Nice to hear hollar said in that accent also
They got you fightin' white against colored, native against foreign, hollor against hollor, when you know there ain't but two sides in this world
always a decent quote

This is a massive fucking rant . Take the advice I gave you earlier and stop wailing and shrieking because someone disagreed with you on the fucking Internet .
