Here we go then. Four hundred votes cast in total, almost three hundred different albums nominated. And they all boil down to these.

But before we start, let's just take a moment to remember some of the musical greats who have passed this year.

Have a bit of the late, great, Toots Hibbert who passed on September 11, just after having released a new album which, coincidentally, would have been number 31 in the chart.

Hux Brown of the Maytals left us just before the album was released, on June 28.

I thought that! They might as well have called themselves 'Lard Sandwich', "Pie and Mushy Peas", "Giro Day", "Mill Accident", or "Pint of Mild please Arthur".

They are competent but just made me want to listen to real NO/JD instead.
