I feel like I'm pissing in the Urban wind. I seem to becoming more estranged from any hive mind with only two of mine making the list.

Most people only have two or three on their lists in the top 30. I don't think there is much of a hive mind really.

No country in the U75 top 30, but then it's pretty low in my list, doesn't seem to have been a good year. Anybody else got any country suggestions for 2017? Sweet FA, ouchmonkey?

massively disappointing year for country/americana in my book - I'm sure there's been some good things, don't think any made my list - but new stuff has mostly made me feel the way people who don't like the genre at all do about it - "what the hell is this leaden tired old crap?" The Sadies and Old 97's records were particular offenders . . .

okay, tell a lie Frontier Ruckus made it, probably higher than they deserve but the album's been a real slow grower on me - didn't rate it at first but I'd been playing it a lot before I made the list. not exactly country though, more indie-folk americana or some other awful description like that. mostly noisy guitars and electronic noodling this year. Got the number one, and a few other selections in there to . .
