So as usual more rock entries than anything else but house and hip hop making a very strong showing, it is 1993 after all.

If I could find my collection of DS4A catalogues that would help - I put in an order and a mate bought ‘United Colors’ on CD, and put it on tape for me. I'd recognise the cover of the one we did that from.

RYM gives a release date of 18th January 1993, which would explain the confusion. That'd mean the album was recorded, copywrited and manufactured in 1992, with a 1992 date written on the record, but released in 1993.
It's a common confusion with albums released in January. People look at the copywrite date on the album and assume that's the year the album was released.
