Bluesky is incredibly quiet. As far as journalism and political commentary is concerned, Twitter/X is still where it's at.

I wouldn't say 'incredibly quiet', UK Politics seems to have 20 posts within the last 2 hours which isn't bad for 6 a,m. Obviously nowhere near twitter but none of them are abusive and none look like they're written by far-right bots, and how many posts do you read before moving on?

While I've not deleted my Twitter account I no longer have the app and I'm only looking at it when someone on here posts a link to a thread.

I'm now checking BlueSky almost as much as I used to Twitter though - it's genuinely become a useful and engaging platform. You do have to put a bit of work in finding people to follow, but now it feels like Twitter without the stress.

Yeah - seem to be alot of folk moving to bluesky since twitter has watered down the block feature.... Though more in some circles than others - seems lots of the academics & historians I follow moved a while back...

I assume it will be the gobshites with large followings who'll be the last to leave twitter..

Yeah, me too.

My only complaint is that I spend too long having to block american sports accounts which pollute my feed. Hopefully, the algorithm will be trained soon.

I've stayed on Twitter too long, cos it's where the non-league football news happens, and I think I was excusing myself by thinking Kamala Harris might win, and then it could be funny.

But I'm out now. Deleted the app a couple of days ago. Should have deleted my account, but that sounds complicated, and now I have no idea how to get back in.
