Touring Musicians Are Brutal on the Environment

Personally, I'm delighted at the thought of never seeing a live band again. When I look back on all those joyous occasions we saw a beloved group/artist take the stage and make our dreary lives a little bit better... I mean, what were we thinking of?

It's different for the mega bands mentioned in that article but loads of small bands have found far more environmentally-friendly ways to tour. Loads of venues now provide backline (I always did at my gigs) so there's no need for bands to hire vans and drag their gear around the country - they can just use public transport.
