A small company I worked for years ago wanted to get into Westminster politics, so hired some 'public affairs' consultants, who immediately proposed holding a joint event with the Henry Jackson Society. The rest of us who'd been there a while were horrified when we looked into who they were, and the event itself was even worse. Swarming with smarmy entitled public schoolboys who pontificated about politics to a sub-Daily Mail standard at best, and laughed at you as naive when you suggested that their conception of the world was horrific.
