Tottenham Hotspur 2017/18 - Spurs are on their way to Wembley

Cant believe Erikson is only 25! Just looked it up..I was expecting 35! Yeah he's definitely going into the Spurs canon...I feel a lot less attached to Lamela for some reason
It's likely because he's been injured half the time!

A lot of Spurs fans (or those on twitter anyway...) seem to have forgotten just how damn good he was before he went out.

So does every new signing.

On the flip side, Llorente looked as solid a choice as a back up striker as was humanly possible, and he's been shit.

well the fact he has been benched for the last year and also has a new baby at home are both negative factors
I've always thought Brazilian players rarely shine in the Prem but its not true: The 20 best Brazilians to play in the Premier League
fingers crossed he'll do well of course

It's a good angle showing a full blooded kick to the back of Lamela's leg. Penalty all day every day, don't get the controversy there.

The first one was offside in my book.

Aye. If you see it from behind it's clearly a pen.

The first one wasn't offside because of the way the rule works. The rule may be stupid, but there you go.

Clattenburg didn't think either was a penalty. Only goes to show that the rules aren't entirely objective and exhaustive.

When he swang his leg there was no player there, Lamela moves onto his leg not the other way round! any idiot can see that! and as for the dive that followed, its obvious!

Aye, I read that by Clattenburg today. Every other ref I've seen give an opinion has disagreed though. See Dermot Gallagher for instance. And Clattenburg's a twat too...

Charming.

VDV boots Lamela in the back of the knee. Whether or not you like how the modern game has developed, these days it was a stone cold penalty all day. I'd have preferred Lamela not to have done the Dallas '63 routine.

And I really fucking hope Poch has torn a strip off Dele for that dive he was rightly booked for too. He's stated before that he doesn't want to see his players doing that, and I think he honestly doesn't.

Lamela comes from behind VDV when he had already started to aim the kick at the ball. Lamela jumps into his kicking leg, rather than the leg being aimed at lamela. Im no fan of Liverpool, i hate them as much as i do Man U and swansea, but even I can see they were hard done by.
