Spurs 2024-25

Sold for 40m, but given his meteoric rise that still looks a Chelsea bargain and a City mistake.

He's the best player in the league at the moment. Yes, whoever made that decision at City... ouch. He's twice as good as Grealish and cost well under half the money.

Different player to Grealish, but your point stands. Man City should be looking at their reliance on 33yr old Kevin de Bruyne and thinking about long term replacements - they had the perfect player all along, the one who got away.

I don’t feel Bournemouth angry. And I don’t think that parking the bus at 2-0 would have got us anywhere. Ange in, for now.

de Bryune will come right, not really sure what the hell has gone wrong at City though. Looks like Pep has basically checked out mentally. Palmer could probably command well in excess of £100m at the moment. He's cool as a cucumber.

But anyway, this is a Spurs thread... how long does Ange have?

It would still be silly to sack Ange, despite what some of our more short-sighted fan base would have you believe. But the goodwill he's built up is draining away at some pace.

I don’t think that Levy will mind us being lol merchants if that sells corporate tickets. And it should. That was an exciting game to watch.

He has the rest of this season whatever.

Your fans pelting Palmer with litter while taking corners.... thoughts on that? I did like his reaction of calmly helping to pick it up with the stewards and not kicking up a stink. But wtf is with that.

Not sure why that is? Hilarious for us Gooners, but no manager can legislate for players making crazy decisions. What's any manager meant to do about Sarr gifting Chelsea a pen from no danger whatsover?

Feels like a big game tonight. A win would both ease some pressure and be a giant step towards the sharp end of an important tournament.

Saying that, a back 4 of knackered fullbacks (Porro and Udogie will play through lack of alternatives) with Dragusin and Archie Gray doesn't look overly strong in front of our backup goalie. More optimistic - our most well rested player is available (Bentancur) and should be fired up and ready to go.

This is the only time I have ever felt reasonably secure about us hanging on to a 5-0 lead. Fun for the players and a morale boost before the Rumbelows, but goodness are SCBC shit.

Would like to see some Dorrington second half of this game, and a lot more Spence second half of the season.

Yesterday was fun. If we're Dr Tottenham, just the tonic for ailing teams in need of a health boost, then Southampton are promoting a miracle cure.

Spence, excellent. Bergvall, excellent. Gray & Dragusin, excellent. Son, just like old times again. Maddison, much more like it. Kulusevski - what a player he's maturing into.

The league table, majority played 16 - almost halfway through and the middle part still gloriously bonkers. 6th place Villa to 13th Man Utd, 3 points.
