Who knows, maybe if it weren't for tory cuts to mental health provision maybe the kid would still be alive.
I never said he should've pulled himself together. I'm aware of the meaninglessness of such platitudes in these situations.
I'm just saying, on the grand scheme of things, I don't care that he's dead. Considering the organisation he chose to support he's got no right to expect any sympathy from anyone.
Why?
er, you did, really. What else was this supposed to mean:
And so the response to a suicide should never be any kind of 'why don't you pull yourself together, change mates, etc'.Especially since the Tory attitude to mental health is literally 'depression is just feeling a bit sad and can be cured by working in poundland for free for six months'
Because I think that the world would be a better place if dumb fucks like you didn't gloat about someone's suicide.

No, but you absolutely can compare it to other suicides by people who felt bullied by their peers, at school or work or at another place. It means you can't compare bullying in an environment that you are free to leave at any time with bullying based on an aspect of who you are. The tories specialise in the latter.

Even for a tory.
Otherwise yes, that is as being as bad as them.
If Tory Boy complains I will by all means remove my posts.
If you don't like bricks, don't become a builder. If you don't like atrocious people, don't join the conservative party.
Anyone who bullies someone is vile. Being bullied to death is a vile way to go and desperate for the family affected. It just happens that if the person you are talking about is themselves involved in something vile, the first 2 sentences in this post will fall away for a while. And I feel like neither a hypocrite nor a twat in thinking that....and if you don't like wankers, don't read your posts. Yeah yeah.
I get it. You feel hard done by. Boo fucking hoo. But to fuck off another human life as "meh" for not agreeing with your so called principles? That's plain wrong.

I hope EVERYONE AFFECTED BY THIS TRAGIC DEATH is getting proper support.
Nope. I haven't said anything like that. First of all it's not political leanings we are talking about, it's activism. Secondly, I've sympathy for his family and I hope the bloke who did it gets everything that's coming to him. But as he's an enemy whose side have killed thousands of claimants and disabled people he's not at the top of my sympathy list. Are you saying bullying is bad, but Elliott deserved to die because of his political leanings?

Yes, an enemy - what would you say to the the families who have lost members after atos/maximus assessments? Would they be right to regard the tories as enemies? An ENEMY?
The kid was barely out of nappies.

We all die. Sadly, lots die prematurely. Some die young, like the cigar-and-braces lad. I hate to think how many young people take their own lives for one reason or another. I don't know why you, Umop, are so concerned with this particular death.
I also don't know - and you don't know - why it happened. If he killed himself, maybe, just maybe, it was related to cruel comrades in the Tory party. Maybe it was related to drug abuse. Maybe his girlfriend had dumped him. Maybe it had nothing to do with any of those things.
If he was a friend of yours, of course it makes sense that you should be upset, but if not... could you just spell out what it is about this story that seems particularly important or interesting?
It's possible to
a) Think the guy had large cuntish elements to his character
b) Be sorry for those driven to suicide.
Like the OP, my first thought was all those disabled and vulnerable people driven to suicide by tories, this could just be an extension of that manifestation.
Barely out of nappies at 21? Kind of sums up the upper classes. Umop, do you always compare things to your daughter?
Suicide is shit and no one will ever know the underlying cause because they are dead. The fact that you have a daughter of the same age doesn't hold weight. No one is shrugging off suicide or welcoming the mans suicide, they are however pointing out that the tories couldn't give a flying fuck about mental health issues. I only hope she never needs help.
they'll be face fucking pigs' heads in tooting tonight
No one is shrugging off suicide
