Im not being entirely sreious on this thread but there is a serious point to be made IMO. There is a definite sexual element in fascism and extreme right-wing ideology and not just in the sense of the people who believe in it being perverts, but in the actual ideology itself. I don't really think this lot are the same but it is definitely possible.

its just more subtle in toryism. If we want to say fascism is the overt expression, in all ways, of the grossest aspects of right wing ideology then it shows that the mediated fascism within toryism will contain the same deviant sexuality only sublimated rather than celebrated.

And that is the point, the rest of the thread is a joke but if there is a valid point to make about the cuts it is this.

The cuts are being imposed top down from the Con/Lib coalition government. The argument about the validity of the cuts is another dozen threads but the cuts themselves (and there is a lot of budget within the LA budgets that is going to be cut, this is a tiny part of that chosen by the LA's themselves).

I hope all the concerned voices on this thread will be volunteering if their local schemes are facing trouble.

The housing benefit cuts are going to weaken refuges/shelters to the wire.

I suspect that while the Tories don't actually want women dead, many may well hold the view that women's refuges are hotbeds of lesbianism where wayward wives are re-educated and split from their loving husband. Who may have got a bit hot under the collar, but really, these modern women should learn some respect. Etc.

The only conclusion that can reasonably be drawn is that tory scum want more women to die horrifically at the hands of abusive partners (and are probably sexually aroused by the thought of it).

You make an excellent point and then ruin it by making a silly comment like the one above. You need to understand that saying stuff like that will actually have the effect of putting people off your original point (if you care about peoples' opinions outside of the U75 bubblesphere?).

On that original point tho, yes, it's crazy that they think cuts wont affect the voluntary sector. It either shows they were ignorant of where charities got a large portion of their funding from (which may be the case considering these types of charities might not be as trendy with posh people) or they simply lied about the "Big Society" to trick people into accepting the cuts.
