Thread to note supply shortages in the shops

Struggling to get gluten free bread, there seems to be very little stock and it sells out instantly. I'm wondering if it's a xmas thing? Couldn't get it on Am*z*n Fresh either. A large part of the gluten free section in my local Morrisons has been taken over by xmas stuff and I think xmas is one time in the year where relatives of us weirdos (vegans also) try to make an effort and stock up for us. The only bread that's constantly in stock is the own brand which tastes like a combination of dust and sofa foam padding. <cries>

I have never eaten a gluten-free bread that didn't taste like that, though to be fair there is a good deal of British standard bread that is not really any better. But at least the gluten keeps the alleged bread from disintegrating; sandwiches made from gluten-free bed are the saddest thing in the world.

I had to go to 4 garages to get screen wash. I was thankful for rain to wash my windscreen.

No wholegrain mustard or leeks in Tesco or Sainsbury. Both are essential to our Christmas dinner.

I go through screenwash pretty quickly once they start gritting the roads. Probably everyone else does too.

No Lemsip to be found in town today, went to try to get some for my covid+ friend. It was sold out everywhere even the blackcurrent one. Which must mean a lot of people are ill around here, whilst we all pretend covid's gone away. not good at all.

Well apparently it due to bad weather in Spain according to what I heard in my local sainsburys
Think it's bad weather in Morocco, coupled with the fact that they have been restricting exports. We don't get so many Spanish tomatoes now, for reasons.

I haven't seen any for a fortnight until today, but they were very pale.

Shortages seem very common here. Every day there's something different that is in short supply. For a while it was soy milk, now that's back but fresh fruit and veg are missing.

We never had any problems when we lived in Spain. I wonder what the difference is...

My Aldi in Bristol usually has everything I want - apart from French wine.
They were out of oat milk for a bit and milled flaxseed quite often ...
I only go in once a week so it's difficult to be sure ...
I may have to buy extras of the screw-top Fitou or I will be reduced to their rather acidic Côtes du Rhône ...

get some of their fine brandy and don't bother with the wine

I did an online shop the other day, Tesco. There are so many gaps in fruits and vegetables. Bizarre. Still it made me go to the local green grocer instead.
