Things to look out for in Lidl and Aldi

Aldi, Mediterranean Quinoa with wheatberries, tomatoes and black olives. Far yummier than it has any right to be. As you were :D

Don't bother with the "lemon and chilli hummus" chips in Aldi.
They are simply over-seasoned chickpea flour snacks.

There were a couple of other similarly unlikely snacks there too - I think one had Quinoa in the name.

I'm kicking myself for missing that Aldi sell excellent mushy peas for 16p - a third of the price of Batchelors.
IMHO there's very little in the way of lunchtime commestibles that isn't enhanced by their addition. :)

A dis-recommendation ...
I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

Aldi's "work shorts" no longer have tool loops, but more importantly have no elastic and also appear to be skimpier than before.

Sad times :(

Have you seen Dickies work shorts - almost certainly more expensive than Aldi/Lidl - but they are a quality item

For the lovers of Banrock station sparkling shiraz - Aldi seem to have a very very good sparkling shiraz on offer at the moment - don't know how long they're going to stock it, it may be on a bit of a special - but it's excellent

Something similar in Lidl as well.

As of the other day they also had chainsaws. Who goes to Lidl and gets an impulse-buy chainsaw? :D

They're about 80 quid btw, I guess that's a good price.
As someone who has recently been quoted £70 to cut down a small tree, I would certainly be tempted.

Aldi have compressors back in (£80) but they don't have the stapler attachment. If I bought one from somewhere else, would it fit?
