Things to look out for in Lidl and Aldi

Aldi have chia seeds rather cheaply.
An expensive way to get omega 3 precursors, but can be fun when used to make gels ...

Can never get the pumpkin seeds these days.
And the tofu was amazing, but now gone.
Everything I ever fall in love with at lidl stops within a week or two.

Oh, in not food news. I recently got a great tagine from lidl, a little while back I got a fab incinerator and the best non stick pan I have ever owned. All great quality for fantastic prices.

Hortus the tortoise gin from lidl. To my untutored palate as good as some gins at twice the price. £15.99

My local Lidl has had a fairly substantial makeover ..........a far more logical layout .......large glass fronted vertical chillers and freezers (seen similar in M&$ food halls...the laser printer, plastic shelf edge ticketing system is very similar to Currys)...the fruit'n' veg section doubled in size and now starts at a more open front entrance and the grey background colour scheme does look a lot classier . ..

Car park was full .......had to park on the road

They've got the full array of woo foods _ from Quinoa to purple pond gunk - oh and green powder that saves you having to eat cabbage ..
