Things to look out for in Lidl and Aldi

I had some lidl champagne today and it was ok but didn't have that lovely champagne biscuit taste. To save me going back through the thread looking does anyone know how the Aldi one compares?

I may be asking for too much at £9.99 a bottle

I don't reccomend Aldi's Fleurie - any subtle floral notes are spoiled by the acidity - so it ends up tasting a bit like cheap white wine - I will amend this if it improves as the days go by ...

I bought a bag of their dried pond scum - not sure how I'm going to use it :hmm:

well quite, I don't have kids so have never *done* christmas but for me it's mainly get the food and booze prepared the night before and then eat, drink* and watch favourite vids :)

*for example
To be honest, the children sort of fit in around all that stuff. My main challenge now is not eating any of the 9 different cheeses I've bought before Sunday. I have no other adults in the house to tell me off until then :D

I heard rumours that Aldi were selling that Lindt dark choccy with sea salt in - anyone confirm? And if so is it cheaper than the £1.99 that the co op charge for it? :hmm:
