Dan Jarvis out in Barnsley N by all accounts, unseated by an obvious knuckledragging racist disowned by Ref UK for being too vulgar.
Look at France.Meh, it's just a protest vote isn't it

Is France in the UK?Look at France.
The one saving grace is that Reform at this point are swivel eyed loons, the French far right are now a much slicker outfit.Look at France.
Another near 11000 vote in Sunderland Central, as opposed to Labour’s winning tally of 16,000 or so.
The question is how friable the vote is and what the strategy is to oppose Reform both within & without electoral politics.
No, it isn't, but it's across the Channel from us and similar things are happening there, but worse. Starmer is basically our Macron. Is France in the UK?
Labour don't know how to combat it because that would be to admit their role in creating a space for fash/right wing populism.
I think it’s to be laughed at. All that hot air and BS about becoming the next opposition, replacing the tories, and they won 4 seats.
As usual with Farage, plenty of froth and noise, bewitching the press into giving him airtime beyond his importance, then when it comes down to it, he delivers next to nothing.
Expect to see opinion writers on the right arguing for electoral reform in the coming daysHe'll get even more air time now though.

I doubt the greens got the same treatmentAnd Compass, which makes very little sense, except it has become their shtick.
Don't underestimate Farage. He can talk, he got brexit done. The one saving grace is that Reform at this point are swivel eyed loons, the French far right are now a much slicker outfit.
Greens got 4 seats in the endHey, it's not the 13 that was predicted. That was rather worrying.
What bothers me is that they have the same number of MPs as the Greens, but with twice the share of the popular vote. And if you combine Reform's share of the PV with the Conservatives, they outnumber Labour. I don't like FPTP in principle, so this is uncomfortable.
and something like 100 second places and 4 million votes , a better performance than UKIPs in 2015Reform up to 5 now
There are a lot of swivel-eyed loons out thereThe one saving grace is that Reform at this point are swivel eyed loons, the French far right are now a much slicker outfit.
Indeed. And with so many of their fellow travellers forming the rump of the parliamentary Tory party, I think we’re looking at the direction of travel for the UK right. It’ll be towards being “normal, like Reform”.and something like 100 second places and 4 million votes , a better performance than UKIPs in 2015
WHAT!Reform up to 5 now
Reform up to 5 now
A quick check of reforms facebook page earlier and i could already see PR coming up in the comments.Expect to see opinion writers on the right arguing for electoral reform in the coming days
It is slightly better. Not massively. A couple of hundred thousand more votes.and something like 100 second places and 4 million votes , a better performance than UKIPs in 2015
That's true. Le Pen has worked hard to turn her mob into something more presentable, controlling messaging, candidate vetting and bringing younger people in and upfront....If the old farts at Reform manage the same it's a whole other level. But the swivel eye vote in Britain is around this high watermark I reckon. There are a lot of swivel-eyed loons out there
