The dubious journalism of the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg

the odd thing about the BBC coverage is the bought right into the culture war bullshit under Laura

and as such no one trusts their domestic politics anymore as both side believe it based to the other side

what a muppet

I do wonder if the BBC News staff IT controls / guidelines are so lax, or if she's going to get away with not following those properly.

the notes should have been kept in a document in Sharepoint (or equivalent) and circulated to her team by sending them a link. then accidentally forwarding that email to Johnson doesn't matter as the link is inaccessible to him. if she's instead circulated as an attachment or even worse just as text in the body of the email then no such luck. there's no control over that. a completely inappropriate way to handle any remotely sensitive data. might as well print it and leave on a train.

What? She tipped him off but got rumbled?!?!

What's Johnson up to these days and why give him airtime anyhow? Comment on the leadership contest in a soundbite I could understand.

You are questioning their system not her intent 🤣

She’s a tory shill client journalist. She got fucking caught giving her mate the answers to the exam so he performed well.

She needs her P45

Surly this has to be a sackable offence

Pretty sure it was meant to be a bcc but she put his email address in cc instead.

She's a tory, has an unhealthily cosy relationship with Johnson, and is most definitely not the last bastion of ethical journalism. I'd wager large amounts she's done the bcc before and fucked this one up.

She’s just part of this cosy revolving door between politicians, police and journos. It’s so unhealthy as the journos are supposed to be the checks against politicos and police. Note Gove’s now moved on to be editor of The Spectator, Gidiot gifted the chance to wreck The Standard, Bozo’s column in the Mail, Kwarteng on GB News and so on. These publications are owned by shady billionaires who are literally shaping policy by having prime and other most senior ministers in their pockets.

And we face criminal sanction if we don’t fund Tory stooges such as Kunessberg. Nice ‘n neat.

While we're at it. I do wish the BBC news app didn't peep out an alert every Sunday morning the the 'news' that Laura K is about to interview someone.

TBF journalists have never at any point been that, they just told everyone that they are repeatedly.
