I used to work round there and even at the best of times, that's a massive wind tunnel .
Went into work the train from Clapton to Liverpool St took 43 minutes (usually does it in 12) as we were stopped outside Bethnal Green Station for about 30 minutes due to something on the track . Tube was OK , although some delays. Headed back at lunch-time as it was bound to get worse , and was greeted at Liverpool St by loads of cancellations , no trains were leaving at all. Got on the 1st bus that was going in the right direction . Walked home from Stoke Newington (about 15 minutes away) a massive branch had fallen on Evering Rd , narrowly missing some cars . I got hit by a twig (I am OK )
Bit like that around Pancras Sq in Kings X .I used to work round there and even at the best of times, that's a massive wind tunnel .
Where about on Evering Road?Went into work the train from Clapton to Liverpool St took 43 minutes (usually does it in 12) as we were stopped outside Bethnal Green Station for about 30 minutes due to something on the track . Not sure the tone of the commentary here is entirely appropriate.
Hope the birds and other wildlife ok
My shed has been blown over
The slightly interesting one about this one is that a spire falling off a church in Wells is a part of the plot of Simon Pegg's film Hot Fuzz. Thankfully this one didn't apparently hit anyone.
So has an Isle of Grain power station chimney:
