LOL at the 'Psychedelic Movement' beating UKIP.
1084 spoilt ballot papers.
The psych candidate had, as well as ‘stop the covid mania’, put Tommy Robinson into the House of Lords as part of his manifesto. And Childs seems to be a putin apologist. So all of them, really.Apart from the Psychedelic Movement and the enigmatic Olga Childs, the other candidates all appear to be different flavours of far right.
It was late, I could have misheard. I see the Beeb has the psychedelic racist in second, so clearly I did! Those Downton and Fransen numbers dont match what is currently reported here:
Residents vote to elect Essex's newest MP - recap
Residents will have their say on who should replace the veteran MP who was killed last yearwww.essexlive.news
Second place then. Wonder if that's ever happened before.
Those voting in Southend West give Fransen her electoral PB with 299 votes.
Place must be very high on the cunt index.
Getting over 100 spoiled ballots is incredibly rare and even less common forty other fifty years ago, so I’d, sadly, suspect that the fash would have beaten them then.It surely has, but they only started including spoiled ballots in turnout figures relatively recently.
Otherwise I reckon the 1940 Middleton and Prestwich by-election would have been one example. The only two candidates were Conservative with 32036 votes and British Union of Fascists with 418 votes. The number of spoiled papers was not recorded.
At rick of repeating myself Firth has a stinking mandate from 18% of the electorate.BBC's choice of words...
