Yes, great idea. Hope for once the council doesn't go all fixed penalty notice over this. This is a fantastic idea:

Oi.This is great! And in Plymouth, of all places....
I just meant that Portsmouth has a huge naval base, like Norfolk in the US. I'd've'nt expected to see something like this in a place with a large naval presence.Oi.
We do have plants. And people who can write.
This happens close to my house and I love it. There are some clever people out there.
Keep them coming pls, I collect them.I'd've'nt
Yes, but have you ever been to Plymouth, though?I just meant that Portsmouth has a huge naval base, like Norfolk in the US. I'd've'nt expected to see something like this in a place with a large naval presence.
I've been to Portsmouth and loved it there.
Cool your jets, shipmate...
I've been to Portsmouth and loved it there.Yes, but have you ever been to Plymouth, though?
Any indication they might extend their activities to forest areas and leave little wooden signs identifying flora there? Asking for a friend who’s very interested in various species of fungi found in this country.
Oh, you're not still on about that. I've told you, once you're halfway down the A38 you might as well forget about being offered the cabaret act on the Isle of Wight ferry and just start a new life. I've made my choice.I think we can all see from this thread that Poot doesn't know the difference between Plymouth and Portsmouth.
Honestly.
Union Street at chucking out time is “interesting”…Yes, but have you ever been to Plymouth, though?
Yes, no one's bothered to put cute labels in Latin explaining that bit...Union Street at chucking out time is “interesting”…
You think you're a right clever cunt don't you? puts on ignoreI've been to Portsmouth and loved it there.
I am very grateful for such considered response, though I now feel embarrassed to tell you my post was in fact a poorly-executed joke attempting to imply it was me who was interested in fungi, but the mind-altering ones only, and wouldn't it be nice if some good samaritan were to put signs pointing to magic mushrooms so we folks interested in such things could go harvest them come October and get shit faced for free...This is a terrible idea tho. For the fungi, I mean.
Wooden signs can get moved.
Never ever harvest mushrooms to eat unless you know exactly what you're doing.
If you want to know, don't trust books. There are some excellent ones, but get recommendations from people who really know their stuff. There are increasing numbers of very bad AI generated books about mushrooms, also plenty of genuine sub par books.
Don't trust apps.
Look out for local mushroom courses and mushroom walks, so you can learn. Find your local botanists (mycologists tend to gang out there too).
Learn how to key out species yourself, then you can check and double check your harvest.
Some of the Facebook mushroom identity groups are good, so join them.
I know mushrooms, but not well enough to teach anyone else. I'd definitely not do any guerrilla labelling of fungi.
For the plants, tell your friend to find their local properly qualified medical herbalist. They have training in botany and plant identification and most of them do herb walks in their local area.
Wait, what. They're not the same place..?I think we can all see from this thread that Poot doesn't know the difference between Plymouth and Portsmouth.
Honestly.

Where do they grow? I've never picked any, and had always assumed you go to places like Waltham Forest to look for them...I was fooled because those mushrooms do not grow in the woods. It never occured to me that someone would look for them in the woods
Also, I'm increasingly sure I'm Au-adhd, so.subtke stuff often goes over my head.
