Everyone take a deep breath and step back. I haven't been on S&*rmfr**t or the like for a while, but again you can bet your arse they dont argue like we do. Surely that's to their benefit and our detriment.
Explain this capitulation, give examples?
So, workers 'power', that explains the rhetoric. So are you now inactive?
Personally I am an SP member as i was a Militant 'supporter' - 20 odd years of 'capitulating' I imagine you would say.
The poster who mentioned workers power is on the mark. I was. Long time ago.
so , what 'group' are you in, or was, Dylans, a barking one, certainly, WP, i suspect.
The "workers in uniform" line. The tippy toed, hushed voice, funerial treatment of these types of patriotic events.
The desperate highlighting of the shit politics of the demonstrators as a veil to hide the fact that you actually oppose anyone demonstrating at a military parade.
This was an anti war protest. Regardless of the politics of the group demonstrating .It was a legitimate political act. It was exactly the kind of thing the anti war movement should be doing.
I knew you were a mili. Ask yourself how I could guess? The same old cowardly line you always held when faced with anti imperialist struggles. I remember how you turned your backs on Irish nationalists with your "workers unity" tosh. Some things never change.

As with the struggle in Northern Ireland you would prefer workers at each others throats in the name of 'anti-imperialism' after all "that's exactly the kind of thing the anti-war movement should be doing". That's how to break the jingoistic illusions of sections of the working class from these illusions - its got nothing to do with building on the very real social inequalities those workers face in common - raising class questions? The way to break those workers from the boss illusions is to tell em 'your solder boy families should be killed, imperialist lackeys'. oh boy.
No wonder your little sect was so successful (and the 'anti-imperialist' struggle as you would call it in NI for that matter). And then you have the cheek to blame the failings of "the left".
Why don't we knock up a leaflet for you gobshite? - I'm happy to prepare and print it for you (at my cost) and send you off to some soldier boys homecomings. You write it - i'll prepare and lay it - A genuine offer.
Lets test how correct you are, how solid your 'anti-imperialist' support for yout 'brothers' is, how brave you are, just how solid your anti-war rhetoric is.
Go on - make my day, prove yourself - we could even have a sweepstake here on urban.
I'm getting a bit cheesed off the accusations for 'cowardice' by you spotty anonymous wee internet warriors - lets see what you are made - prove us wrong.
Might be useful to examine the history of the 'Troops Out Movement', who sometimes protested outside army recruitment offices, whilst avoiding, as far as I'm aware, any notion of attending, or organising any emotive demos at parades?
An organisation to learn from perhaps, as they had some notable successes in influencing, for example, trade union policy, and Labour party policy during the Labour's long days in opposition?
Mind you, Colin Wallace did say they were the most infiltrated organisation in Britain?
I will politely decline your offer.
I was a member for 15 years.
I was a member for 15 years. Also an organisation condemned as hopelessly nationalist by dennisr's mili friends
I do remember you refusing to support Argentina in the Falklands war.
[...]
I remember you refusing to support Iraq during the invasion of Kuwait.
There's a surprise - come on fella its your opportunity to prove just how appalling our record is.
You have an audience dylan - now's your chance. Expose these social chauvanists.
After all your 'brothers' are desperate enough to turn themselves into human bombs, Its the least you can do??
Looks like arguments that the Far Right have rejected street activites as a tactic have been over estomated!!!!
Why not involved now?

Weirdly most working people in NI don't want a return to your 'anti-imperialist' war. Why do you think that is?
I've been out of the country for 15 years.
Are you going to answer the questions or not?
I've been out of the country for 15 years.
Aye - us 'social chauvanists' took our que from our cdes n NI - initially drawn from members of the civil rights movement in Derry in particular. Despite, the collapse of your 'anti-imperialist' struggle socialists still have a base in NI - playing a key role in the recent Vitreon occupation in Belfast for instance.

oh, how mysterious.
i thought the struggle was international?
You answer mine big fella. You have been given every opportunity.
Retrospectively listing twenty years of sectarian distortions and 'demanding answers' does not absolve you of them
We can do a one hundred things that expose 'social chauvanists' as a seperate thread if you like (there would be about 2 people reading the thread after the first page of bile)
Now? The war is over. The republican resistance fought its way to John Majors negotiating table. no thanks to you.
Twenty years of political cowardice
Steady on, B/Arab, too much complexity may confuse MC5 and others, easier to see them as a homegenous ranting mob.
