Paralympics Opening Ceremony

The music's veered from the brilliant to the awful. What the hell is this?

The Orbital bit was brilliant, as was the soprano. but uggggggh....

Given the overrun, how is public transport going to get them all home?
Was just thinking that. I'm at the Closing Ceremony. What if it runs as late? I'm not even sure when the last train is as different places say different things!

I believe they are running a similar service as the Olympics which will mean trains until about 2am, they also have standby trains at the mainline stations to run if needed.

I need to get back to Sittingbourne though. We seem to be second class citizens as far as SE's Javelin service is concerned. They cancelled all direct trains completely during certain Olympics nights so I had to get home by travelling into central London and going via Victoria.

The last train is either at 23:33 or 00:52 depending on who you believe.

That is the most English post I've ever read on these boards, and that's going some

That was pretty good I thought,I wouldn't mind if they dumped the running, jumping and throwing things bit and concentrated on the imaginative bits.

It was good, I liked the science bits and Steven Hawking, but it was very long. I feel sorry for any atheletes that have to compete tommorrow!
