At the beginning I thought it was going to be shite - didn't particularly like the green and pleasant land stuff. BUT - then came the industrial revolution and it all got a bit good. The music was awesome - bounced around to the dismay of my daughter to Dizzee . The NHS bit was inspired- flippin' BRILLIANT idea! Loved Beckham in the boat, loved the cauldron, loved the fact that no single person lit the flame, and then it all went tits up with the uninspiring speeches and Macca.

Yeah, 8/10.

Thought it was cliched.

The social media bit/Tim Berners-Lee bit was weak and I didn't make it through to the Paul McCartney end-bit.

How would you have improved it?

From a tech point of view, 10/10. Whoever came up with the idea of the LED panels in the seats was a genius. Tryi g to imagine.e the control system for that makes my head hurt.

However, I just couldn't get into it at all. Just a massive "meh" feeling.

So I'll give it a charitable 6/10.

Nah, was at work last night, watched it this afternoon on iPlayer. Tbh I never like stuff like this

I found the death eaters / child snatcher / Mary poppins bit all a bit :wtf: loved the music montage. Loved the petals / cauldron. Hated Mr Bean. Liked the oaths, I've never noticed that before in other ceremonies. Liked the odd, subversive bits.

Overall 8/10 and not half as embarrassing as I thought it would be.
