Amid all the virtual shouting and flounce threats, I see the essence of this thread being some of us contending that other clubs have equal form for racism, violence, hate chants etc.

I posted this ten years ago and still stand by what I say. (Last went to The Den in 2016 or 2017).

While it would be idiotic to deny there is racism at Millwall there are plenty of fans who aren't like that (my partner and many of his family, for example). Many of them support the club because they come from the New Cross and Deptford areas. I have been to Millwall many times and not found it worse than any other club. (I have heard monkey chants by Leeds fans and seen racist papers openly sold outside Hull City).

Also, in my work I have come across community initiatives run by them for young people. To suggest Millwall are singled out and kicked out of the league is imbecilic.

Time and time again on this thread, sealion in particular has shown, with brutal honesty, what he has done, in real life, over many years to combat racists and fascists on his own doorstep. From a few posters - ddraig, editor (posters I like & whose opinions I rate in other contexts/threads) and pbsmooth (who comes over as a bit of a bell) - he's received pretty much nothing but 'yeh but Millwall are this, Millwall are that', with pretty much zero acknowledgment of what's he's saying or has done. As The39thStep said above, it feels like just having a dig at a club, not fighting racism - if it was otherwise, sealion's listing of other clubs' problems with racism wouldn't be met with 'yebbut Millwall'.

I'm not surprised he's lost his shit tbh.

You've been on a wind up pretty much every post you've made in reply to sealion, ddraig; you've been a bit gleeful when he's got fucked off with the repeated whatabouts. I can't be arsed to trawl back, it's all there for others to read if they can be arsed, but I can't remember any support/acknowledgement from you re: what he's said about fighting racism at his club.

Anyway, I'm just calling it as I've read it & it's felt weird that on here, we're not supporting anti-racists because of the team they support.
