Michael Stone's Stormont attack 'performance art'

Yes sure it was a piece of art. He was hoping to win the Turner Prize with it. His next performance will be him playing the role of a life-prisoner.

Everyone who gets caught holding up the local offie will try that as a defence from now on.

The man is as mad as a bucket of frogs ...

(Mind you, he'll probably refer to the woman who left strange devices all over Shepherds Bush a few months ago, causing mayhem, and then explained it was some art project ... )

His solicitor mustve struggled to keep a straight face when he announced that was the defence in court.. Genius.

possibly finally lost it although would be worth having michael stone at the turner award just to whatch the artists sweat.
you want edgy how about a real murderous nutter edgyer enough for you:D

This reminds me of the offensive nonsense Damien Hirst talked about 9/11.

If anything, Stone is only adding weight to the argument that he should be locked up indefinitely.

Apparently when he was in the maze he was the "porn king" and the pron he distributed was described as being home made in a recent documentary about Johnny Adair. Johnny didn't however explain what he meant by home made. So you could say he has experience of performance art.

Made me laugh when I was stuck in the rush hour traffic on they way home from work, he is such a loon, performance art my arse!

The porn thing is just a bad thought though, I suppose he does look a tiny bit like Ron Jeremy with the dodgy hair cut, beer belly and facial hair.. loyalist porn.. almost, but not quite, as bad as loyalist flute & drum CD compiliations..

On September 10, 2002, on the eve of the first anniversary of the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks, Hirst said in an interview with BBC News Online:

Damien Hirst said:
"The thing about 9/11 is that it's kind of like an artwork in its own right ... Of course, it's visually stunning and you've got to hand it to them on some level because they've achieved something which nobody would have ever have thought possible - especially to a country as big as America. So on one level they kind of need congratulating, which a lot of people shy away from, which is a very dangerous thing."

The following week, following public outrage at his remarks, he issued a statement through his company, Science Ltd:

Damien Hirst said:
"I apologise unreservedly for any upset I have caused, particularly to the families of the victims of the events on that terrible day."

That woman security guard certainly did her job well
The trial heard he pointed an imitation gun at a female security guard, ignited an improvised explosive device in a flight bag and threw it some yards from him.
The bag contained explosive fireworks, flammable liquids, a butane gas canister and fuses. It failed to explode.
He was found to have seven nail bombs which the court heard were capable of causing death or serious injury to anyone in their proximity.
Stone also had three knives, a hatchet and a garrotte.

"He could hardly have a worse criminal record," the judge said...

Stone's become too much of an embarrassment even for the loyalists.Doubt very much if he'll become some sorta loyalist martyr.
