Lying Tory twat Lee Anderson fails miserably to spread fake news with backfiring interview

Has the cunt actually defected yet?
They don't want him.

I think I suggested some time ago that he'd only go to Reform if/when he could be leader. I'm not changing my opinion. Who is Richard Tice anyway? ;)

My sources locally tell me that Ashfield Labour have chosen Rhea Keehn to fight Anderson in the GE - the more left leaning and personable of the last two PPC contenders.
The unknown there is how (still under investigation) Independent Council leader Zadrozny’s vote will hold up, given the strange resilience of his motley group’s vote in Council and other elections, despite repeated scandals.

Anderson's 'Angry dickhead who's actually had a proper job once' shtick is much more useful to the Tories isn't it. And actually I think a fair few of them probably do believe he's some sort of representative of the working class, seeing as they've never met any of them outside of them building their extension or something. As far as Refuk goes they'd probably take him but they're probably not wrong that they don't really need him enough to have to accommodate him at the top.

Yebbut, the Tories are loving it. It's just what they need to appeal to the loony right wing element of their base and stop them going off to parties whose names begin with Re.

The Tories' biggest problem is trying to appear not to endorse racism like this while actually stoking the fires of it whenever they can.

Farage will be tory leader within a couple of years
It's an intriguing/horrible thought, but I doubt it. However the chances of it happening dramatically increase if he's allowed into the party. That sounds like a rather daft point, he clearly won't end up leader if he isn't allowed in. But I meant it in the sense that if they allow him in, he'll certainly begin scheming to become leader.

Much easier to be a commentator on the alt-right circuit than a constituency MP. It’s not obvious to me that Farage would have much interest in doing the job.

he barely even turned up when he had a job as an MEP. doubt he'd bother as an MP.
His surgery work would be a 50% Cameo discount for anyone resident within his constituency's borders

“...Now, Mrs Outhwaite, I understand you've been having a lot of trouble with potholes on your cul-de-sac, as well as noisy neighbours in the house one up from you. I want you to dig down deep and pull out some of that Blitz Spirit I know you have in you, and together. We. Will. Get Through. This. Rule Britannia!”

It's a weird way to report it isn't it, as if what they're doing is unfair on Labour MPs. Surely the real issue is more which particular Tories they're promoting here.

Absolutely, in fact I would argue that the article deliberately misses the point of GB News. It is in essence a giant party political broadcast for the Tory Party and should be regulated as such, with the provision of the service (to the party and the individual MPs) counted as benefits that must be declared in the register of interests. This is in addition to the relatively low amount they are paid for going on there.

If Peter Walker wants to use the argument in this post as the basis of his next article then that is ok.

TBH, I think it's a "giant party political broadcast for" those somewhat on the extreme end of the Tory Party, who are very happy to appear; though I suspect that the Tory Party is, on the whole, more than happy to see it going on, so long as they don't catch any blowback. For example, when a Tory MP like Anderson goes off on one... :hmm:

I would say that's impossible, he would need to be allowed back into the Tory party first, then he would need to win a by-election, and finally he would have to be in the Tory MPs' final two choices to put to the membership.

That's never going to happen 'within a couple of years'.

Why not?
