Living off the land 100%

I have never tried to deny my alcohol addiction. I am one of those annoying 'functioning alcoholics' who manage very well despite it. I enjoy it. It takes the nasty edge off life and enables me to gain much more pleasure and freedom from everything.

You want a house? Fair enough - you pay for your house, but you never try and judge anyone else for choosing not to be a fucking slave to the system just because they weren't born into money. I do not know anyone in this World who has managed to get on the property ladder without a little help from parents, or family. Nobody, and I know many high earning people.

I got a mortgage and bought my first house with no assistance. It was tough, then I got divorced and never got anything back from its later sale.Rented for years then I bought another with my second wife and again it was tough but it can be done . I know quite a few who have done the same. Perhaps you need to meet more people Stan on the other hand you dont find many of them who are always in bars.

If you reread Stan's contributions you'll find he's lived in many houses. But never for long.

Faro.

I am fucked. That beer I was drinking all day long yesterday turned out to be 7% Vol IPA. Portimao started to stink. A very strange sulphurous smell rising from the drains, and then drifting in from the sea across the entire town. I couldn't stomach it, so started a midnight hike across the bridge.

Woke at about 7AM in a sand bunker on a golf course :D

I like Faro so far (haven't been here long - small place, but happening enough).

Think I will just work the morning and move on. Nice enough place, but not that nice.

Seriously need to sleep.

Perhaps you need a decent amount if food and rest? If you're walking long distances every day your body is not getting enough time to repair and refresh itself. And the heavy drinking won't help.
