Out of curiosity (again), I just totted this lot up on Tesco, and it came to £12.47.

It'd be about a fiver less than that in the Lidl too.
Totally cancelling these boxes when my referrals run out.

That's a shame. I keep Lidl spring greens in the fridge and they have lasted 2 weeks nae bother. I like the look of the Lakeland bags but I'd prefer something less plastic tbh.I've not been impressed with the post-purchase shelf life of Lidl veg compared to Morrisons (which is where we usually shop) or ASDA tbh.
Even with my magic green veg storage bags (the Lakeland ones, I highly recommend them) the stuff just isn't lasting as long as from other places I buy veg.
OK if you have one nearby ofc and don't need your veg shopping to last a while, but if you need to store stuff Lidl isn't so economical for fresh veg (I still go there for tins/dry goods etc)

They do sound good.I try to cut down on plastic use, but these are washable and reusable and can be recycled should they become damaged or unusable.
I bought a pack of 20 large bags (for about £6) and they should technically last me the rest of my life, there isn't any reason to be throwing them away regularly.
Now buying food or drink packed in plastic that immediately goes into recycling or the bin or ends up in rivers completely grinds my gears, but these aren't intended to be disposable like supermarket packaging or freezer bags/sandwich bags - you wash them and reuse them technically until the end of time unless they tear - which you'd have to make some effort to do, they are thick and sturdy.
They do sound good.
I'm after something I can keep mushrooms in. Paper bags, big ones, but cheap. I did try using old hoover bags but you can't fit many mushrooms in them.
Ahh, I never even thought of robbing supermarket bags! Goooood callI take more paper bags than I need when buying loose fruit and veg in Morrisons I figure I spend enough blimmin money in there that they can spare me a couple of paper bags occasionally!
These look nice but I haven't tried them so can't vouch for them - odd choice of colour for veg storage bags mind, they'll look grubby really quickly!
Mushroom Preserving Bag
Organise and preserve those kitchen staples that all too often get ahead of themselves. Each of these breathable bags…www.lakeland.co.uk
EDIT: Oh bollocks they've been discontinued - must be similar bags and sacks suitable for the purpose available though.
Slacking mate.Ahh, I never even thought of robbing supermarket bags! Goooood call
In my defence, I never use them. I just put loose veg on the checkout to be weighed.Slacking mate.
