Joe Biden's time is up

Who’s disgusting ?

anti-bidenists.

he's substituting 450 (per the NYT) permanent troops for the same number of troops coming and going on a rotational basis. so a net increase of zero from curent numbers and maintaining the reduction from the number beforehand (750).

concerning instead is the authorization to target islamist leaders for assassination.
I'd say its concerning that people don't get a say about wether the country's troops are in Somalia, not even congress gets that decision by the look of it - aren't they supposed to vote on this? And I can kinda understand wanting to help/support the govt of Somalia and people of Somalia against Al Shabab, but that doesn't have to mean American troops being stationed there.

Ofcourse if the US really wanted to do something about terrorism around the world it could have not interferred with the affairs of countries all over the world for its own nefarious interests or armed regimes such as the Saudi theocracy, helping it to commit disgusting atrocities of civilians in Yemen, for example. Theres also the drone war which no one talks about anymore ( similar to how no one talks about kids in cages anymore) because Trump changed how its reported on - a way he has helped Biden.

There is much wrong with that article I posted about troops being sent to Somalia btw.

That's the problem. Biden may or may not be a good politician but the alternative:eek:.
Is not a social democrat that's slightly left of centre or even a Conservative.
It's a collection of Moonbats that never got over a Brown person being president and witter on about Jewish space lasers, critcal race theory owning the libs the sort of things Farage kicked out of the Brexit party for being nuts lead by a convicted conman who attempted to stage a coup.

you have the Democrats political party in hock to corporate interests and the Republicans who are an insane cult or are held hostage by an insane cult they don't do politics

Well we seem to have very different views then. I'm sure I've made my views on electoralism clear in the past and they haven't changed. I'm not for aiming for a system where you have republicans or democrats, or capitalism at all, thats the difference I guess. I think maintaining that system is the problem and that people need to break free from it and go beyond it. Having a Joe Biden or a Democrat Party fuels the Republicans anyway, it fuels having a Trump or De Santis as president - and just look at how unpopular Biden currently is and how he is fueling the chance of a republican presidential victory.

Now it might be the case that people hold their noses and vote Biden (as they did with Macron vs Le Pen), in order to prevent another Trump, but I think - as unpopular as it might be on these forums - having any remnants of this extremely destructive and harmful capitalist system is a completely undesirable outcome - for people like myself anyway. I don't see any real positives in any kind of electoralist approach and feel the evermore urgent need for a revolutionary, grass roots one.

Shudder to think what would happen if he carked it.
Come the November massacre, with Kamala Harris at the wheel...

Even without Biden popping his clogs, the talk I hear is of Democrat losses in the upcoming midterms.

Thanks to the removal of rights due to the removal of roe, the midterm contest seems to be looking a lot tighter. Biden is still really unpopular but the generic dem/Republican matchups show the dems ahead in most most surveys.

Looks like we were all wrong

Bit flimsy, and the last para suggests we weren't all wrong after all

But democrats perhaps starting to fight back
