The questionable basis of the notion of IQ being one, the questionable use of the concept of a bell curve being another, and its quoting of Charles Murray as an authority. Other posters have called attention to alternative explanations of Jewish occupational and academic patterns other than genetics, and you have also failed to engage with these.

Most scientists no matter what their backgrounds aren't celebrated by their own culture. It's got nothing to do with religion, it's got everything to do with a society that values vacuous and tenuous claims to fame over actual talent.

Agreed, after reading the Big Bang, it's astonishing how little recognition certain scientists got in their own life time.
Furthermore, many many people can read Heaney or Beckett or Yeats and understand them (or at least project their own understanding on the text) it's difficult to get excited or indeed to justify the excitement someone who invents a new form of maths like Boole or Walton who's work in atom splitting in incomprehensible to anyone who hasnt a degree in physics.
But no lets go with LiamO's theory that we don't respect science like we do U2.

It's also hilarious that LiamO tried to suggest that my opinion was irrelevant because I went to a "poncy posh private boarding school" (I didn't) so in the OA he thinks the original article is okay because his "Female Muslim Psychologist" mate wrote it, but if there's a wiff of education to my background he can dismiss it because that doesn't make me Irish enough in his mind.

Scientists are really only respected or 'famous' for want of a better word within their own specialisms, and usually then only at the big conferences in my experience.
I really do disagree that there is an urban bubble - we are a very diverse multicultural and multi-geographical community so to describe it as a bubble is pretty naive considering.
