I am a) just recognising that there is a long tradition/culture of intellectual/scientific vigour/exploration amongst european and US jews... and south asian emigrants to britain... even among dirt-poor emigrants b) asking what are the factors behind that (OTHER than genetic inheritance)
I am genuinely struggling to understand why either of those two things is contentious.
As i said several times the article was posted on FB by a female Muslim friend, who is also a psychologist. She considered it worthy of discussion - although she did not consider it in any way contentious - but then she does not live in the Urban bubble.

it's in the OP.It's basically some 'intellectual' who I am fairly certain is himself Jewish (and a Zionist) positing that Ashkenazi Jews are more 'intelligent' than the rest of the world and 20 reasons why he considers this to be the case.... most of which are spurious, some are decidedly dodgy (such as the askenazi are 'cleaner' and don't eat pork for example) and some are worthy of discussion... as I said on the first page.
we haven't got to discussing most of them yet.
