I saw NY times did a nice little montage of the story in three newspaper quotes, it was on reddit so I doubt I could find it again though.
 
saw this by heidegger today, slightly paraphrased and reminded me of Musk. Musk's attachment to "the machine" is fascinating. The two become inseperable. If you think of turning a once fairly stable and credible social media outlet into 4chan then the word monstronsisty in heidegger's quote starts to resonate. sorry if a bit heavy lol.

He's sort of indirectly correct, advertisers do act to blunt or overwhelm radical ideas by backing media outlets which reinforce the status quo. But this is not a man who actually gives a shit about enabling radical ideas (he himself suppresses them), he just doesn't like that saying bigoted shite to millions of people comes with consequences.

I watch mainly true crime and left philosophy on youtube, yet my shorts is stock full with mysoginy and "anti woke" shite. christ knows what the feed is like for those actively pursing this stuff.

yeah, wouldn't surprise me. I saw a clip of him on his latest Rogan appearance a month or so ago goign on about how the state of downtown San Fran, with its lots of desperate homeless people, was because of left wing ideology. Like a lot of online alt right twats, there's so little depth to anything he says, just wafer thin, flat, pronouncements about woke mind virus, can't say anything these days, etc. Proper edgy teenager stuff. Extraordinary really when he's seen by huge swaths of the globe as some kind of uber genius.
