Of course they're not. But to deny that some are is to walk in la-la land.

Many Trade Unionists opposed equal pay for women because it would drive down wages. Were they right? Would you be supporting them?

i am not arguing for tighter immigration controls but for first honesty at what is happenning and for the unions to demand that people are employed locally, sustainably and at the proper rates.

But how you square the double standard between allowing there to be competition in exports, but not in services? Is it fair that workers in car plants have to accept the pain of unemployment or wage devaluation whilst simultaneously paying the higher prices that come from my service sector colleagues' labour market protection?

Also - what are proper rates, and who determines them?
