Hot upcoming gigs

Blimey, that is a considerable saving. Cheers for that, your majesty, and I really hope this isn't an identity theft scam?
They (HRH) often do it for gigs that haven’t sold well. Not usually to the point of free, but down to 5/10 +booking - O2 venues only.

Got one for SLF the other year and jake was fucking furious about it.

Good tip, thanks! I was just thinking I should listen to some Flag to get myself appropriately hyped, but then I realised I no longer have any on my hard drive, so I just went back to listening to Taylor Swift instead. Still have Pledge of Defiance on there, though.

Ooohh. Wish me luck getting home.

Citizen Fish, Eastfield, Babar Luck's East End Trinity and Swaraj Chronos.

hope the sound tech at least tries to give swaraj chronos a decent sound (he didn't last time I saw them there with peter and the test tube babies)
rant over

Waxahatchee is (are?) touring, but controversially not doing it in March though:
April 2023
17,18 – London, Earth Theatre
20 – Brighton, Komedia
21 – Manchester, New Century Hall
22,23 – Dublin, Pepper Canister Church
24 – Belfast, Black Box

Iceage are sticking with the popular option and touring in March though:

Violent Magic Orchestra at White Hotel next Thursday. Couldn't resist the name.

White Hotel had a sound sytem upgrade recently so should be a good test.

Gnod dates in March April, May

desert fest was one of my favourite lone days out a few years ago....is it Koko still? perfect venue for it, rammed with black band t shirts and hair.

edit: I see venues now... tbh I wouldn't have wanted more than just a day/night in the big venue, a whole weekend of trawling round camden doesn't appeal. actually typing it out maybe it does appeal a bit.

I was surprised to see yesterday that Dub War have reformed and are playing at the Corporation in Sheffield in March. I went to see them at the original Corp in 1998! Might go along and see if they can still do it.

ShowFilmFirst.com also offer some freebie* seat filler places for some concerts and plays and stuff too.

*you pay the booking/admin fee.

They're doing day tickets if you don't fancy the whole weekend.

At the Metric gig at the Roundhouse - probably the biggest band in the smallest venue I'll ever see; they'd be selling out arenas back home in Canada.

Ooh, I would've been well up for it if I knew they were touring. Although I can't find any dates other than London, so I probably wouldn't have been able to see them anyway. Nothing lost or gained there, I suppose.

Anyone going to see Stars (support is David Gedge apparently!) next weekend? Plans for something else have fallen through and I just saw they're playing Saturday and Sunday and I don't know anyone else I'm aware is into them

Blimey, Epideme, that's a name I've not seen for a while, I remember buying a cassette off them back in the 2000s when I still had a tape player.
Cant say I've heard of 'em - nor many others on the bill - though I've seen a handful before. Looks like a fun weekend though I reckon unlikely I'll make it...
