90s band, plain text logo, stars in the holes of the "o" or "d" or other letters with hols in? (Not elastica, sleeper or belly) some other band?

Well I think it was a band who were in the NME a lot. 90s era.

But might be an American band who weren’t actually that cool.

Possibly also a band who used Cuban white red and blue colours?

I’m thinking a band who were more like an Oasis’y type logo, with red white and blue (possibly)? But also not necessarily cool or anything.

I’m more asking on behalf of a friend, we’ve been texting back and forth about it trying to figure it out.

He can’t actually say either what the trigger is because it’s embargoed (he works in the music biz) so it’s a weird one and I’ve run out of ideas now lol.

The only thing I can think of is Primal Scream - Xterminator from that description. But it's not.
