Glastonbury 2005

Right - must turn on printer... get map thing done. Still things to do - only because I've been potting around for about 6 hours to do this...
 
:) Just had my last hairwash and shower for a week and we'll be off about 9 - 9:30ish. I've only a 30 min drive :p - altho no doubt there will be shed loads of traffic to contend with. I'm also going the long way around to end up at the west car parks - I don't want to face that bloody hill on the other side.

Morning all, need some sharpish advice.

My mate who didn't get sorted has now apparently been offered a ticket (from a professional tout) at 200 bastard pounds. Anyway, even though he's borassic, he'll pay it, but what kind of ticket will this be with no ID on it? Is it a resident's ticket? And if so, can he get on site on Thursday? I know (I think) they can't camp, but I'll carry his gear in so he looks like a day tripper.

Any thoughts? This tout is actually a mate of a mate, so I doubt it will be a fake ticket or anything like that, but I just don't understand what the script is with it.

I`m on a residents ticket but think I still need ID and utility bill , I don`t have it with me because its still with the resident or I`d take look.If its a residents ticket you can get in on Thursday.
 
bugger. still got 4 more hours of work to go until i can get on my way. anyone else heading down after work tonight?
 
Hi all - just a quick one re searching on the gates etc. (too many pages and am at work - apologies!) How is this conducted if at all and any suggestions for where to put stuff - on you, in bag etc.

i didnt get searched last year. i've hidden my stuff in a little bag in a sock in the middle of my ruck sack. if they find it, they find it. it wont be a copper looking for it though i dont reckon.

cheers Fuzzy - am thinking probably inside pants etc. If searched how far can they go?

i would have thought that would be ok. whenever i have taken stuff into clubs i've always found shoes is a good one. tbh though they really arent looking to stop people with a little bit of personal on them. far too much comes in anyway for them to try and make a small and insignificant point by stopping a few people with a bit of puff on them. relax and dont look like you're nervous when you go through. carrying a shed load of stuff is also likely to distract them if you are really that worried. i'm sure you will be fine.

On the drugs front. I'm not bringing any with me...will there be shroom stalls? And what about other types of stuff avaible?

LZ just head to the stone circle if they're arent and you'll find most things available :)
 
yeah i looked at that forecast earlier and it looks totally fine.
what about rain though?

guess i'll have to rely on dub's weather updates.

Regardless of any weather forecasts I suggest you take a good pair of boots and waterproofs.. . - Its one big slippery nightmare if it rains.

guess there's no harm if i don't need to use them

omigod!!! - I'm soooo excited now only <counts on fingers> 9 hours till we leave :D

I will wander over to the cider bus at 8 tomorrow if I feel brave enough - I don't know what anybody looks like - how will I recognise urbanites???

Get Dub to lay down in any puddles for you and you will be fine ;)
 
I seem to remember Dub stumbling around outside a load of portaloo's last year looking really fucked.
