I know the feeling
probably packed the kids entire wardrobe but will leave most of it in the car and go for it if needed.
Think I have nearly finished - even mended the lanterns- need to sleep - don't know if I can
Be to meet up, my number is on the Glasto urbanites list, or else check your PM's

Xanadu said:At the moment, I'm taking a backpack, with sleeping mat and sleeping bag strapped on, a tent bag, and a satchel style bag. I'll probably buy a box of wine so will have that to carry too. Very excited to meet all these urbanites for the first time as well as the few that I've met already. I'm going to have to explain to my real life friends about urban now
That's pretty much identical to what I'm taking (although the sleeping mat is actually technically my mum's yoga mat ). I also have a camping chair but as yet am undecided as to whether I can be bothered to take it, it truly is the most cumbersome and awkward bastard to carry.Xanadu said:At the moment, I'm taking a backpack, with sleeping mat and sleeping bag strapped on, a tent bag, and a satchel style bag.
Xanadu said:Meeting lord cam at kings X at 8am. I haven't booked a train ticket. I was going to buy one as soon as I got there.
Xanadu said:Hmmmm had a look on thetrainline.com. Looks like it would've been cheaper by about 4 quid if I booked before 6pm. Ah well. I don't seem to be able to prebook the time I need for any of the tickets though. Little bit worrying, but I'm sure I'll be fine. I bought it on the day last year, and it cost me £25. It's still cheaper than the national express tickets.
Xanadu said:Hmmm, I wonder who isn't in the glastonbury mood...
the B said:Right - I'm going with...
1. a decent size backpack but on the front now.
2. one camping bag generously donated for a week of use by a kind urbanite who sadly won't be there.
3. tent in bag
4. bag of munch and sensible drink if possible
