It's all about the captaincy for RVP. You should be giving him the armband pretty much each week, no question. However, I was hoping he'd start off with a whimper, for folk to drop him during the difficult early fixtures, for his price to fall, then I'd nab him. Plan aint coming together yet...

I think he went through quite a long lean spell last season. As you say if you've spent that much cash you almost have to give him the armband. Utd have tough fixtures next few weeks so let's hope the wheels come off his bandwagon.

I've noticed a couple of things this season which are leading me to ponder either an early wild card or a big one-off points hit.
