Just got back in from watching the game. We weren't good enough, pure and simple. We've not looked like world cup winnesrs for any of the games, and this one was no different. Sure, the second goal should have stood, but it didn't, so there's no point debating it. Dodgy ref decsisions happen all the time, sometimes in your favour, sometimes against. Shit happens. End of the day, we were shit, we got spanked and that's all there is to it.

Won't happen. Wales is a perennial failure at football even with one or two stars - largely because the rump of the side isn't good enough at the highest level.

Disallowed goal changed everything.

England wouldn't have been obliged to leave spaces at the back as they did had it been 2-2, not to mention the different psychological set-up of both teams after the half-time break.

Otherwise a good performance I thought. Rooney wasn't offside after 5 minutes (or however many it was) and we hit the bar twice. It seems we had more possession than the Germans in the first half too (a stat flashed up saying 52-48 after about 40 minutes I think). Doesn't mean Germany weren't better: they were.

This business about football without the technology being the same game at all levels is utter rubbish, though. See if the thing has crossed the line, what's wrong with that? It's the whole point of the game!

Ah well. Easier to get furious and say how rubbish the England players were, I suppose.
