If they get him onto US soil, I very much doubt that. The US has a whole raft of constitutional protections, but has decided in recent years that those human rights only apply to US citizens. He's royally fucked if he is ever sent to the US, and there will be zero due process.

They said that they do not and will not - as a matter of fundamental legal principle - extradite anyone to countries that detain people for political reasons and that his Wikileaks activity constitutes political action. It's his last hope - that people who he has pissed off immensely over many years do him a massive favour.

I disagree. There's far too much noise around him for him to just disappear into a supermax. I think there'd be a very public trial. We shall see.

He has other countries he can go to than the UK. Few of them would take the Swedish stance though.

The UK doesn't just accede to US extradition requests btw - they actually have to get heard and the US has suffered some heavy defeats on this recently i think.
