eh? whats wrong with saying stuff is crap if thats what you think?

because it's unnecessarily negative?
I think Hocus Eye said it well...people complaining about food when it's not actually bad just seems kind of snobbish and why not just say "I don't like it?"

If you've ever taken care of kids, you probably know how infuriating it is when they proclaim that something very nice is actually "yucky."

To me saying something is crap is the same as saying I don't like it - Just semantics really. Some people like olive oil, they don't think it's crap, I don't like olive oil, I do think it's crap. Same for Bud Lite as well, some people must like it and not think it's crap.

why do some of you always resort to the whole food superiority shtick? is it supposed to be funny? or is it supposed to be ironic because of your world-wide reputation for bad food? :D
It's not so much superiority as knowing that people who eat headcheese and scrapple don't generally know good food from bad. :p

I don't think British food is bad. I was just wondering what the practice of continuously trashing other people's food was all about?
It's fun, especially when the cuisine you're mocking is either exotic or contains dishes that are basically analogues of stuff your own cuisine dumped years ago. :)

Here's something from New Zealand called a 'bacon buttie'.

Well here's my dinner, photographed earlier for you:

Note the proper bacon, butter and selection of acceptable sauces:

who eats headcheese? and I don't even know what scrapple is?

Scrapple - blend of ground cooked pork scraps and cornmeal plus (if you're really lucky!) some spicesIt's the shaped into a loaf, sliced, and the slices are fried. Here in the UK we do a similar thing with ground cooked meat, mixed with mashed potatoes, herbs and spices, which we call "rissoles" (yes, British children DO get a great deal of pleasure from that name!).

Who eats headcheese? Idiots, IMO. It's not the flesh I mind, it's the jelly. Ugh!

what's so wrong about it being in a tube? sounds like a good idea. v practical. germans are well know for being practical :)
well, you can't see it for a start. I want to know what my mustard looks like before buying it! Also, I like glass jars - they are more re-usable and you can also use them yourself, to store nuts or whatever in...

I like the French jars which you can wash out afterwards and use as beer glasses. We always have mustard seeds, Dijon, course grain, Colman's powder and French's burger mustard in the house.
