I re-engined an early 80s Kenwood Chef, and promised myself I'd get a grinder for it. £13 on eBay, and it's mint, never been used, in original packaging. Win.
Records against a radiator?!!!
That's kind of you, but I don't think this would be an especially good home for it... And it's not as if it would be anything about authenticity, given that it now has a 1.2kW motor and a new controller.
mum-tat had one in the 80s
don't suppose you want an instruction / recipe book for it do you? (it turned up when tidying, but seems wrong just to throw it out) - somewhat scruffy but could do with a good home...
Have a look at the next website, I got mine from there and it's very comfortableSuggest me a sofa. John Lewis looks like the only barely affordable full price place with comfy sofas
These look like a campervan essential, although I'm not quite sure what for yetBought these the other day - silicone loops with magnets at either end (pack of 20). Dead handy for attaching things to metal surfaces. The magnets are pretty strong too.

I know what you mean - so far they're dead useful for hanging my headphones from the metal frame of my desk. Not quite worked out what to do with the other 19...These look like a campervan essential, although I'm not quite sure what for yet
Whenever I get anything new and magnetic, I wander round the house, tapping it against any metal I can find. There's never enough.Suppose I could hang frequently used kitchen utensils from the metal extractor hood.
The options are the desk frame, extractor hood or fridge. Choices, choices.
I bought a second hand wooden bed frame and mattress about 10 years ago for £100. It had been someone’s spare bed so I was told without much use. Used for lodger for about 4 years.Purchases are not exciting but needed. I found a double IKEA Kallax unit in great condition for £10 & a huge double PAX wardrobe with sliding doors for £50. Wardrobe is like a double double.
I now need a king size bed frame but I’m limited to what I think I want. Ideally want to find a good quality one new to me & buy a new mattress. I spent years in rented houses is mattresses that came from who knows where & thought of that now gives me the shivers!
just picked up a set of four of these chairs for a tenner, plus £50 to get them from Romford to Streatham. Describes as 'gplan ercol teak-style' so not quite sure what I've got, but I loved the shape of them and for that price I'm not complaining.
Hopefully they won't need the woodwork stripping and varnishing, as I can;t be bothered with that.
The plan is to recover them in something bold and 70s style pattern - along the lines of this fabric (but each chair having a different pattern) - but not sure if I need a spcific type of fabric for chair pads? I've got a heavy-duty staple gun, which I'm hoping will do the job

I really wouldn't bother! If you've told them, then maybe hang onto it for a bit just in case, but then I'd treat it as yours.Calling Ikea fans moonsi til, existentialist and everyone else really - hilariously, my favourite Swedish flatpack furniture supplier sent me a surplus upright when I ordered an Ivar shelving system, so is there any mileage whatsoever in trying to return it ? I did text the delivery chap but don't know if their phones would be set up to receive texts and just know someone out there is missing half the support for their Ivar
Kinda thought thatI really wouldn't bother! If you've told them, then maybe hang onto it for a bit just in case, but then I'd treat it as yours.
The ex Mrs E got a whole hallway hatstand delivered in error (in France) from IKEA, and they just weren't bothered. It now resides at the top of my stairs, and has hats on it.
FanTAStic ideaI used an Ivar upright as a towel rail in my old bathroom - it’s a useful shape for lots of things, and with a few S clips you could hand other things off it
