There’s no going back! Currently I have a brushed cotton duvet cover but an Egyptian cotton bottom sheet, as I can’t turn over in bed so easily if the sheet isn’t smooth cotton.I've launched into the world of 100% cotton bedding, at the grand old age of 54. Bought the first set to cheer me up through winter depression, and didn't realise it was 100%. Bought it for the pattern tbh but immediately felt the difference. Have now bought another set, plus brushed cotton sheets. Holy fuckaroni - ultimate in 'cosy'.
I was wondering about ironing. I fucking loathe ironing, just don't do it unless it's absolutely necessary, and was hoping not to have to do it with these. Thanks for the reassuranceThere’s no going back! I do sometimes iron my pillowcases, unless the creases have blown out on the washing line, but I don’t iron the rest.
It might depend how it’s dried. I don’t have a tumble dryer and only wash bedding and towels when it’s a dry enough day to peg them out on the washing line for a couple of hours!I was wondering about ironing. In the winter, I hang them over a clothes horse, never ever tumble dry them cos they're just too big and end up all crumply, with damp bits.It might depend how it’s dried. Well it needs to be in Scotland eventually anywayI recently got an olive boat. I can't show you because I left in Scotland.
I was planning to put some home cured olives in it and send pics of it in use.Well it needs to be in Scotland eventually anyway
I have those I think but in green - they’re also Habitat but I got from Sainsbury’s?I got these pasta bowls. They didn’t fit in my bag so I had to walk all the way home from the pick up shop with them balanced on my bike, but they’re even more gorgeous in person so it’s all worthwhile.

I went into TK Max for photo frames & bought 3 lovely ones for £7 each then I had a right good mooch in homewares & got 6 bowls , 3 yellow & 3 of other.
Got one from Sofas and Stuff. It’s wonderful. Dunno if they’re within your budget though.Suggest me a sofa. John Lewis looks like the only barely affordable full price place with comfy sofas
Yeah, everyone knocks ikea but I got an ex display three seater from there and it lasted 18 years. Only got rid as we wanted a new one for our newly finished room. It had seen better days but with a few cushions was still comfortable.Artaxerxes IKEA does have a few decent sofas around £500-700
Saw this today which I like

Yep, ours is coming up to its 15th birthday - it's a bit battered and saggy, but I haven't found anything I like as much.Yeah, everyone knocks ikea but I got an ex display three seater from there and it lasted 18 years. I have IKEA furniture here that dates back to rhee late 80s, and has survived at least four house moves.Yeah, everyone knocks ikea but I got an ex display three seater from there and it lasted 18 years. Records against a radiator?!!!Old IKEA is better than new. I bought this unit to keep my records on, in 2006. I bought the same (different name but same unit) in 2018 to house my lad's toys and books.
Recently moved house so had cause to shift them both. The recent one I could carry and lift, myself, up into the back of a Luton. The old one, needed a mate to help to carry it. They've changed from chipboard stuff to expanded cardboard. The old one, admittedly, I've had to batten but it's carrying some phenomenal weight.
The CD racks are fugly, I hate them so much but I can't find anything else that'll take 1000+ CDs. Rented house so can't build proper shelves
