Those flats next to the flower look familiar...

The ones on the left are the white flats/Turkey Lane which were in Harpurhey/Monsall - Knocked down about 86 IIRC. The ones to the right with the bloke are in Salford somewhere and are from a book of pics by Sefton Samuels.

Recognised the harpurhey ones, used to go out with a lad from there in the 80s :D nice to have you back by the way, hope you are well

Edit:

Oh shit, are you banned again already? :D

I've almost got a new front door. Should be being installed tomorrow or thurs.

Got a new mixer tap in the kitchen installed on Saturday.

Bought a small pedal bin for the kitchen after years of using a carrier bag slung on the back door handle.

I want some nice pictures for the walls but I'm forcing myself not to get them until the living room has been painted, which may be some time off. I also want to get some succulents for a few nice little cups I've got lying around, and/or a terrarium, but haven't got around to it yet.

Recently got a Miura bar stool to perch on while playing records after one too many.

A lovely set of hand-made recycled slate placemats
and a postcard-sized print of a sulking mermaid
both bought on holiday in Cornwall

Got a bonus from work of a few hundred quid, which was nice. I've decided to put it towards homewares for our big refurb, and when I finally spotted some lights I thought (correctly) that even my lighting-indifferent husband would think were nice, I thought I'd splash out on them. It's just the porcelain shades, so if we want to hang them together, we'll need to find a light fitting with three cables. Or we might hang them separately anywhere we need an extra light. So many lights are either super expensive, or else look a bit like they'll get really dated fast, but I thought these are nicely timeless.

We'll be getting the place rewired, so we'll want to buy light fittings before so they can go in as it's done. Downstairs is all full light fittings rather than just cords for a shade, so I'm starting to stockpile. We're not decided on where these will go, but I have a few places in mind. My other half is pretty opinionated on design but always a bit 'meh, whatever' with lights, so I might just tell him to let me decide on all of that.

I was lucky to get one off a mate for £20. Very useful when playing 7" singles when you can't be bothered to get up every 3 minutes :)
I did even better. We bought a table and a light from Red Brick Mill near Batley and wolfie was looking at the stool. They say they would throw it in for free :D that's about 8 years ago now. We have no particular use for it so it just gets moved around and always has stuff pile on to of it.

Jesus ringo I've just seen the RRP  I knew they were expensive but that's mad. I was going to take a photo of ours but couldn't find it. Turns out it's in the basement with the camping stuff. I might get it out again a put it somewhere where I can admire it :D

eta. The Midland Hotel in Morecambe have a row of about 10 black ones in the bar.

Yep, good bargain :D

The lightshades arrived - they really are very nice. I can't seem to find online a fitting to attach them to and even a sparky told me there isn't really a name for one to google!

Finally, after some false starts, retrieved The Beastie from the framers. Saw him hanging in a second hand bookshop window when on holiday in France and went a bit mad (it's a design Alexander Calder made for Braniff Airlines) but we ne regrette nothin'.
