Want!

Ooh I prob need one of them as my sink is prone to smelling.

I have had a new bed, it has been a bit of a drama as I chose too big at first for the Ikea bed frame, then we decided to buy a new bed frame which came and that was too big! Too big as in took up too much bedroom space but Ikea do a 90 day return on mattresses so we used ours for a month whilst sorting all this out and exchanged this morning for a more expensive one. Think it's the Hokassen with the Malm High white bed base with drawers. We wanted the Brimnes but the headboard was 27cm in depth alone. Just need to build the fucker now! ooh have new white bed linen.

I just got this battered old leather settee for the dog. It'll be perfect for her. It looks like it's got no legs in the photo but it has and I've had my eye on it for a long time. Now my friend wants shut so it's mine. Or rather, it's Skyes :)

I've been so poor the last couple of years that I've been putting off replacing things that needed replacing. This week my last living room lamp bit the dust, my vacuum cleaner died months ago. This weekend I tried to roll out of bed and the mattress scratched my leg so bad that I had to take a wad of toilet paper and tape it to my leg with cellophane tape.

So I bought a new lamp, a new vacuum, and this morning a cheapo bed frame and mattress. I didn't get a new headboard because I haven't found one I liked. The new mattress will be enough for a while. Or, at least, it won't attack me.

The lamp:

While I was shopping for a headboard I found an Amish-style quilt at an antique store. It might even be a real Amish quilt because its all solid colors, hand-quilted, and there are Amish folk around here.

Well jel! When I got my first place my dream buy was an old juke box or pinball machine

In more boring news, got stuff to go in our new downstairs loo:

And a wall-hung concealed cistern loo (there'll be a boiler above it so everything will be boxed in). It's a pretty titchy space, so hopefully the have the loo hung will move it feel a bit more spacious. A bit annoyed when I looked up this basin that it had actually gone *down* in price by a tenner after the sale that allegedly ended yesterday. OTOH, the loo had gone back up and we got about £90 off that, so can't complain too much.

Quite excited about this as the loo currently opens to the outside, so we've not really used it since we moved in 18 months ago. Sadly it'll be the end of the year before we can get to use it as we're basically rebuilding 75% of the downstairs as well.

I've always wanted one too, couldn't believe it when I saw it an auction of antique furniture and fine china. Completely the wrong sale for it, I got it for a steal :thumbs:

Well, totally mid massive downstairs rebuild right now. Have just ordered a bunch of lights. A variation on this for the lounge (we liked the colours so ordered same, though there were more) but all the same depth and with a diffuser. So purty!

And a pair of these for dark stretch in hallway:

Looks amazing, just found a semi retired jukebox engineer who will fix it when he's finished fixing one for someone else.

The jukebox guru has finally finished his last job and Lino the van man has taken it to him for diagnosis. Fingers crossed its a cheap/quick fix

Your house looks lovely, ringo. And that chair was just in the street? Marvellous!
Thanks, it is, but I'm going to have to sell up since separating, and will be back to a small flat if I can afford to stay in London at all :(

Still, great street find, I'm going to check the cabling and speakers and either fix ot replace them with good quality mini speakers. It's a treat to sit in.

Next level armchair raving :D:thumbs:

Oh that's a shame, but with that chair it'll hopefully be a teeny bit less painful.

Bought a purple velvet armchair today, didn't go out for this but there it was at a price I could afford.
Photo really doesn't do it justice. Have to go back to collect.

Recently moved to an unfurnished flat so have been buying loads of furniture. We have a great Hospice furniture shop 2 mins up the road which has helped kit out our flat at really reasonable price. Purchases have included an oval wooden table, wardrobe & 2 chests of drawers, 2 mahogany magazine racks, & a bed (not from hospice shop)
First time in my life ive ever bought furniture so feel quite proud
