Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

I did buy this in the end as I scoured the shops and couldn't find anything else I'd be seen dead in that actually fitted. (I was tempted by this, which is really gorgeous fabric that the pic doesn't show well, but the skirt was a bit tight and they didn't have my size in the jacket: http://www.marksandspencer.com/Doub...030&pf_rd_p=215570647&pf_rd_s=related-items-3)

In fact I bought the teal version of the dress as well as the black one, as it seemed somehow smarter in the shop, but actually the black one, when worn with black tights, black boots and black cardigan is so inconspicuous that I'll probably go with that.

It was a sobering experience having to actually look at the racks of "workwear" that I normally hurry past.

found a pair of barely worn solovair steel-toe shoes on the bootmarket for a couple of quid yesterday - picked them up for the mrs (they weren't my size), and she didn't even want them!

what girl would turn down a nice pair of steelies? i'm having second thoughts... :(

Quite right killer b. Now THAT's my idea of workwear.

I loathe workwear. I'm always having to sweat my way round hot airports in sticky polyester. I'm rubbish at it, too - I end up dressing like a bloke. I haven't worked out how to do it stylishly and comfortably, but formally enough for client visits. :(

have 'em if you want weeps - i think they run a bit large though: i forced radio to try them on, and they were a bit wide on her (size 6) feet...

ah, bugger, probably not then. I've got a pair of (non steely) oxblood 3-hole Doc shoes that are technically a 6 but fit with two insoles but sounds like these'll be a bit too big.

internal measurements are 23 cm heel to toe.

I want red boots :( I would love fryes but I am not a billionaire!

I like these three and if I save up.... maybe :hmm: but not sure about my chunky calves getting into them.

i picked up a vintage US navy peacoat today. it's a bit battered, but i reckon it should clean up ok.

one of these (but a bit more knackered). hoping it might do as my winter coat, although it may be a bit big... will assess this evening.
