Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

can't see the first pic - link?

it's the green peacocky one you found, the pics on their site seem to be well flakey. arrived yesterday  it's great :) exactly like the pics and fair do's their one size is pretty generous - would easily go to a 16 i reckon but not too tenty on me :)

Is that the kate moss one in the middle? I really love the shoulders, didn't realise it had peacock feathers there too :) What's the sizing like as I find Topshop huge :(

Lovely

it has another feather on the racer bit on the back too :) it came thismorning but i missed the postie so haven't tried it yet. i find topshop average sizing tbh but the kate moss stuff runs slightly smaller ime.

baldrick's fault  :D

OMG those boots are fit. I wish I'd never seen them cos I can't afford them at the mo

I find that happens a lot with shops who aim their clothes at teenagers. H&M is a particular offender. Their clothes seem to be designed for girls without waists and hips.

Got some stuff from GAP (they have an offer on till Sunday 20% off and free delivery - code is 'PARTY') - don't especially *love* any of it, but all in the sale and then used that code, so for £27 for the lot, delivered, I thought I might as well. :D

...and a pair of cropped black leggings.

ha ha ha! i am so going to buy those when it gets frosty. mmm sheepskin.

I'm getting them next week for my birthday

I went on a bit of a back to work spree today after 3 weeks off when I realised most of my autumn winter clothes are falling apart

Mostly quite dull - black skinny jeans, black boyfriend cardie, brown grandad cardie, 3 vest tops (purple, navy, burgundy), and a grey cord miniskirt that is going back cos it won't even go over my hips  Thought I might be able to lose a few lbs to get into it but not going to happen :D

I also got a cream 60s style shift top from Dotty P and a navy and beige skater dress from New Look :)

This isn't quite formal enough for a job interview, is it?

http://www.wallis.co.uk/webapp/wcs/...20&refinements=Size{1}~[20]&noOfRefinements=1

For two previous interviews I wore things I have already that I thought would fit with the sort of workplace it was (family charity = comfy floral dress, historical architects = embroidered black Monsoon skirt and black top), but this is a health centre and I'm thinking more conventional interview attire is probably a good idea.

I really really cannot bring myself to buy those horrible black polyester trousers though :( :( :(

that's really lovely and normally i'd say totally fine for an interview. but maybe for a health centre i'd wear a smart skirt and a white fitted shirt.

i've had second thoughts now actually  and I think the first one is totally fine (and it's really lovely so you'll definitely get more use out of it!). not as keen on the 2nd one to be honest...

Oi whats wrong with orrible polyester trousers? i live in the bloody things :D

i like that first dress from wallis, might get myself one of them!

in terms of interview wear you need to go a tiny bit smarter than people doing the same job would wear. a dress is fine in an office environment - with a cardie once you work there... but for an interview... the problem is you don't know what ideas about smartness your interviewer may have, and people can be put off by clothing choices. What about a velvet jacket? something with lapels, anyway.
