lovely... I tried to get one similar but I dithered too long and my basket was empty when I clicked "buy" - cheeky buggers!

I want some new boots. Found ones I really like but they're 140 quid :(
might they go on sale?

Gorgeous dress, Mango.

I bought a leopard print bra. I am actually turning into mutton dressed as lamb.

I bought a cream crochet dress on a whim in Uniqlo because it was only £4.99 in the sale. But now I realised I don't have a white slip to go underneath that is the right length. Would a black one look completely wrong, do you think?

I think it'll look good, the lace pattern will stand out more. What happened to no more summer clothes young lady? :D

I bought a lovely dress yesterday with a snow geese print on it, not sure about it now though, it's quite fitted :hmm: :(

Bought myself a maxi dress today intending to get it taken up, which I may well do, however I've found that draping the fabric over a belt works. Result! It's very light as I'll be wearing it in the sweltering heat predicted tomorrow.

As I said, a whim prompted by the fact that it was a bargain!

You must come to our new local bar, the Snow Goose, in it :D

Ms T - get a 'flesh' coloured slip and keep 'em guessing as to whether you're wearing anything underneath.

A bit of a splurge, but all of it'll get worn...
ankle length tiered skirt halfway between sky blue and turquoise
sleeveless deep v neck black cotton jersey maxi dress sold as "petite" length - which is probably going to need butchering before wear as it's puddling on the floor even in heels (v red carpet, but not very compatible with my so-called life);
stone colour linen blend 3/4 length trousers
50s ish (the skirt's less full but similar cut) tea dress in v pale peach with a large floral chintz print in turquoise, mint, tea, and dark brown, with fixed sash (lengthwise stripes in the same colour as the floral bit). Waist line upwards it fits perfectly, but the skirt either needs a v puffy petticoat or taking up by a few inches.
gingham gypsy top (in a different colour to the one already worn halfway to death),
underwear,
hi tec silver shadow trainers,
2 different pairs of sandals.

I don't come in here very often as I rarely buy lovely new things atm as I'm all skint but my O/H bought me this swimdress and it's blinkin' fab.

Covers all my sins

Any ideas where I can get nice t-shirts in larger sizes? I cannot find anything I like - lots of fashion top type things, but just ordinary t-shirts with nice designs and not too high necks don't seem to exist. New Look used to have them sometimes but they only have stupid designs at the moment ("Maneater" etc).

Maybe try the men's section? Of the usual cheapish suspects, I mean... Peacocks, QS, Asda, Sainsburys etc.

threadless women's tees aren't very shaped ime, and they still have that high neck. the best ones i have are from howies but they don;t go past a 16 :(

ruby, have you tried primark mens department? they do some "slim fit" t shirts which are cut a bit more like womens tshirts. they also have some quite nice womans tshirts and go up to a 20/22 in some designs
