Detail your latest clothes and slap related purchases here #2

with summer fast approaching I'm currently in search of the perfect t-shirt (a few of my regular favourites are starting to wear out), so I've picked up a couple recently off of ebay - one in grey marl from E Tautz, who make their clothes in Blackburn - hilariously this one says it should be dry clean only, an instruction I plan to ignore. And this one from Nigel Cabourn, from his Army Gym range - keen on the sleeves on this, and the useless breast pocket.

With that many logos on it they should be paying people to wear it. :D
everything seems to be branded these days tbh, I try and avoid big logos or branding usually but that is a rare piece highly sought after so it was a chance for me to grab something that will hold it value if not increase over time.

good for swaps

German army boots for motorcycling purposes. I have not been able to better them for grippiness and comfort. I wish they had a side zip, but no boots with side zips seem to be as grippy.

I wore them to ride home from the shop and immediately felt more confident. When I put my foot down it's not going anywhere and my ankles are totally supported.

Very pleased the army surplus shop in Waterloo is still there.

You can get zips for boots that you lace in then just use the zip. :)

Just bought this headband on sale from Boden - I've been wanting more bands like this for day-to-day wear but often the prints are quite 'dressy' and I liked this because it's more casual:

May have to get some more like this as, annoyingly a small section of my hair near the front seems to have got broken off recently so I keep on finding I've got this sea-anemone of short hairs sticking out from the side of my head when I tie it back, and bands are probably the best solution. It can be tricky as hairbands often give me headaches, but this kind of fabric-covered solid band seems to cause that less often.

It is the one in the Cut. It's one to avoid if you're claustrophobic. You have to edge in sideways past stacks of rucksacks.

On the plus side, both times I've gone in to look at boots the conversation has been like:

Me: I would like some boots please, size 41.
Him: Here you are.
Me: Great. How much do I owe you?

Surprised they don't do boot zips.

I've also just done a total impulse buy from a FB ad, but it's something I find sooo hard to find I had to get them when I saw them as God knows when I'll find another pair. With my wonky legs, I need to get extra 1cm of sole fitted on left-foot open shoes like sandals, and the most comfortable heel for me (other than flats) is a wedge. But I haven't been able to find non-espadrille (ie without that 'string wrapped around the outside-look') wedges for years since my last leather-sided pair died - the extra sole is much more obvious if it's espadrille style.. These Collectif ones flashed up, in my size, on sale and good for discreetly adding an extra sole to.
