I've never been in a tailor's before!
I should ask for as discount as I have the same surname!
Let us know how this goes. My guess is a barely perceptible slightly raised eyebrow

I tried it once at an off-licence that had my full name - didn't workLet us know how this goes. My guess is a barely perceptible slightly raised eyebrow
Oooh, are they expensive?View attachment 307299
Delighted to discover Hirsch Natur socks still exist and can be bought online. Best socks ever. Super warm and pull right up, even on my less than slender legs.
Yes, frankly. But you only need one pair, I wear them as oversocks as it were.Oooh, are they expensive?
Cowboy boots. The answer is cowboy boots.I’ve been uncharacteristically organised and ordered a dress for a wedding in September. I hope I still like it then.

Not sure about footwear. I can’t wear heels, I’m not very good with anything but trainers or Birkenstocks.
I’m thinking maybe ankle boots would be ok. I’ll try a few.

I can't do cowboy boots cos my high foot arch means I can't get in them. It makes me sad.Cowboy boots. The answer is cowboy boots.
When you say you can't get in them - do you mean you can't get y'plates into the boots or they're impossible to wear once on ? Sorry to be pedantic but I've seen a few cowboy-looking boots with zips y'see.I can't do cowboy boots cos my high foot arch means I can't get in them. It makes me sad.
Not for me I don’t think but thanks.Cowboy boots. The answer is cowboy boots.
I've never had a suit and have always slightly wanted one. I can only imagine the polyester horror of the plus size suit Always half planned to make oneFairly straightforward suit from Mango for job interviews - pulled the trick of buying a slightly small jacket so it hangs nicer and fits nicely (because trousers are supposed to be a bit cropped) so I think will look more expensive than it is. Will wear with more interesting top
I don't think you'd be overdressed. I don't think wearing a suit to an interview is ever going to be a faux pas.I'm slightly worried it might come over too formal for the place I'm hoping to get a face to face interview at - may go for just the trousers with a top and nice jewellery.
Yeah, I'd probably err on the side of too smart!I don't think you'd be overdressed. I don't think wearing a suit to an interview is ever going to be a faux pas.

Yep For a long time, I had to wear one for client meetings - dashing round Switzerland, sweating like a bastard, giving everyone I met an electric shock.I've never had a suit and have always slightly wanted one. Well I was thinking more of a sort of 40s style number than office suit. Or something.Yep For a long time, I had to wear one for client meetings - dashing round Switzerland, sweating like a bastard, giving everyone I met an electric shock.
I eventually realised a nice black dress, tattoo-covering tights and comfy wedges did the job just as well, and I didn't look like an over-heated box.
Me again.
Would these boots be too casual with the dress?
